Orthoco, Inc. Offers Complimentary TENS Electrodes with Chattanooga Intelect Legend XT Stim/Ultrasound Unit
Wynnewood, PA (PRWEB) April 30, 2014 -- The Chattanooga Intelect Model 2795 4-channel electric stimulator/ultrasound combo unit "is a serious clinical therapy system" says Orthoco's president and CEO, Anthony Engel. "Chattanooga introduced this new ergonomic design years ago and it is still considered the go-to system used by physical and occupational therapists, physicians, chiropractors, and athletic trainers."

The 2795 includes a custom mobile cart that matches the head unit perfectly and contains plenty of storage for supplies and extra cables. The unit can be purchased without the cart, model 2788, if it is not needed. The head unit itself allows the user to choose the type of current desired, the parameters of the selected current, and the output intensity. The user also has the ability to independently control each of the four electrotherapy channels. This means that the unit can be stationed in-between two exam tables and provide 2-channel stim to two patients simultaneously. It also offers the clinical versatility of many higher-priced systems with multiple waveforms and digital electronics with touch controls. Then there is the dual frequency ultrasound that can provide deep therapy, even under water, with the ergonomically designed sound head. Customers may choose one of four sizes: 1 cm2 , 2 cm2, 5 cm2, and 10 cm2.
Anthony Engel indicates, "If you're a clinician, owner, or clinic manager contemplating the replacement of older technology, I would seriously consider the Legend XT 2788 or 2795." Engel is so serious that he is throwing in 50 patient packs their OrthoTrode reusable TENS Electrodes with every unit purchased. These TENS Electrodes are used to transmit the electric current to a patient’s body to help better manage chronic pain, pain after surgery or joint and muscle pain. The TENS pads are made of cloth or foam, and contain a thicker gel adhesive that is tackier than other brands carried in the past.

It is important to understand that these and other electric stimulation and ultrasound units are considered FDA Class II devices. Therefore, Orthoco will only sell to licensed clinicians and authorized purchasers on behalf of hospitals, medical, and rehab facilities.
