Mirepoix USA Offers an Exclusive 5-Course Luxury Food Tasting During Artown in Reno, NV
Reno, NV (PRWEB) April 30, 2014 -- During Artown in Reno, NV, Mirepoix USA, the leading online purveyor of gourmet foods is holding an exclusive five-course culinary art tasting featuring Russian caviar, foie gras, summer truffles, Wagyu beef, and Iberico Jamon, professionally paired with premium wines, on Saturday, July 26, 2014, in Reno, Nevada. This one-of-a-kind Artown event, held at the Garden Court of the Rancho San Rafael May Museum, is an occasion for couples or friends to share in the intrigue and tastes behind some of the world’s finest gourmet foods.
Artown, recipient of five consecutive National Endowment for the Arts grant awards, brings the arts to life in Reno each July with hundreds of events, workshops and programs. Mirepoix USA’s luxury tasting celebrates artistic innovation and expression through culinary arts.
“Luxury foods such as caviar, truffles and foie gras turn a meal into an artistic celebration for the senses,” said Laurel Pine, founder of Mirepoix USA, and one of the nation’s leading luxury food experts. “These luxury ingredients are highly coveted because they are truly unique–there is nothing that duplicates the flavor profile, texture, and aroma of these exquisite foods.”
The five-course luxury tasting menu includes a beautiful pairing of artfully prepared small plates and premium wines. The evening will begin with a Champagne reception and passed hors d’oeuvres such as bite-sized summer truffle and arugula grilled cheese sandwiches. Once guests are seated in the museum’s gorgeous garden court, the remaining four courses will be served. The first plate will be a poached oyster with leeks, cream, and Black River Russian caviar. The next plate will feature Cinco Jotas Iberico Jamon de Bellota, an exquisite Spanish ham from 100% pure Iberian pigs, fed on a diet of acorns and aromatic herbs in vast pastures in Southern Spain. This course will be followed by Japanese 100% Wagyu beef strip loin with Burmese red rice, Porcini mushrooms, and mushroom puree. Dessert will be foie gras crème brulee.
“This tasting is a great opportunity for attendees to spoil themselves with five of the world’s most sought after gourmet foods, which they don’t always have the opportunity to consume," stated Laurel Pine, Mirepoix USA Founder.
The exclusive event takes place on Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Garden Court of the Rancho San Rafael May Museum in Reno, Nevada.
