Proove Biosciences, the leader in personalized pain medication innovation, cut the ceremonial ribbon today to officially open their newly expanded Maryland office in the highly active Baltimore-Washington biotechnology corridor. The Maryland office is strategically located between Baltimore and Washington DC, in the Annapolis Junction area off of Interstate 95.

“We chose this location because our business is becoming more critical to access different stakeholders in the biotechnology and healthcare industry, and it serves as an excellent location for our highly valued staff,” stated Brian Meshkin, founder and CEO of Proove Biosciences. “Being strategically located near the NIH and FDA, as well hubs of healthcare and technology innovation in Baltimore and Washington, DC, we look forward to building upon these positive synergies to continue leading the industry in personalized medicine research and innovation.”

The ceremonial ribbon cutting will take place today from 3pm-5pm, and will include remarks and introductions from the Howard County Chamber of Commerce, Maryland House of Delegates member Frank Turner, Howard County Council Chairperson Calvin Ball, and Judy Costello of Bio Maryland.

Proove Biosciences has experienced tremendous growth in the last two years, more than doubling in size of staff, and producing award-winning and industry recognized research on the role genetics play in pain medication and treatment. This past year, the Company was awarded the 2013 Bridging the Gap Award by the Greater Baltimore Committee and the Company’s CEO was awarded a 2014 Future50 Award by SmartCEO magazine in the Baltimore region.

In the Maryland office alone, the staff has grown from 4 to over 20 in the past year, and the Company announced plans to hire over 40 more employees in the Maryland office in the next 12 months. “As a company that continues to innovate, and work towards the realization of personal medicine to benefit society, we are thrilled to establish this office and continue to grow into the surrounding community,” stated Meshkin.
