Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) April 29, 2014

The Rainmaker Group, a world leader in automated profit optimization software and services for the multifamily housing and gaming/hospitality industries, is pleased to announce it has earned another Pacesetter Award from the Atlanta Business Chronicle as one of Atlanta’s 100 fastest growing private companies. This is the second consecutive year Rainmaker has received the honor.

“Our company has experienced tremendous growth over the past four years and Rainmaker is very proud to be on this list for a second consecutive year,” said Bruce Barfield, who, along with Tammy Farley, co-founded and are principals of The Rainmaker Group. “This award that recognizes our growth is really a testament to the hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence of our extraordinarily talented staff, as well as to the confidence, trust and loyalty our customers place in us.”

2014 marks the 19th year in which the Atlanta Business Chronicle has honored Atlanta’s top fastest growing privately held companies that are taking business to the next level.

To qualify for the award, the business must be privately owned, based in the 20-county Atlanta metro area and not be a subsidiary of another company. It must have had 2013 revenue between $1 million and $300 million; and must have two-year growth in sales of more than 50 percent.

Companies are ranked by a growth index formula, which is used to even the playing field among companies of different sizes. The revenue and employee growth indexes are the percent change from 2011 through 2013 multiplied by the absolute change for the same years. A company’s average employee or revenue growth index is the growth index divided by the average growth index of all companies that qualify. The weighted average growth index is a company’s average employee index score plus its average revenue index score. Employee growth was weighted 40 percent and revenue growth was weighted 60 percent.
