Health Advocate™, Inc. Honors Its Nurses During National Nurses Week
Plymouth Meeting, PA (PRWEB) April 30, 2014 -- In recognition of National Nurses Week, Health Advocate, Inc., the nation’s leading independent healthcare advocacy and assistance company, will honor its expert staff of nurses with a donation to the American Cancer Society, a nationwide organization dedicated to saving lives from cancer.
The ceremony will take place Friday, May 9 at the company’s Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, headquarters, when employees will come together to show appreciation for the Health Advocate nursing team.
“Our nurses play a vital role at Health Advocate as they provide valuable support for our members and their families every day,” said Michael Cardillo, President, CEO and cofounder of Health Advocate. “We’re happy to take this opportunity to recognize the professionalism and compassion that makes this special group of nurses a great part of our team.”
Nurses at Health Advocate serve as an important resource to members who need help navigating the challenging healthcare system, providing assistance with a wide range of clinical issues, including coordinating treatment and care; providing information on treatment options; and fostering communication of benefits between providers and insurance companies, among many other tasks.
The donation will support the American Cancer Society’s mission to prevent cancer, save lives and diminish suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy and service. The American Cancer Society is the largest voluntary health organization in the United States, providing support and information to people nationwide at its regional and local offices located throughout the country.
