Anne Lapkin joins Smartlogic as the senior vice president of global strategy, where she will help Smartlogic define its growth strategy.
Lapkin, a former vice president of research at Gartner, is an information management and strategy expert. Lapkin has 30 years of experience helping companies extract value from enterprise information by helping end-user clients define the right technologies, organizational structure, roles and responsibilities and information architecture. Prior to joining Smartlogic, Lapkin spent 10 years as a research vice president at Gartner, where she managed the Information Management research agenda and was responsible for all Gartner research on big data, information management and governance, information infrastructure, data quality and data integration.

In her 10 years with Garnter, Lapkin advised information management clients on business strategy and helped them develop business-oriented information strategies, define metrics for success, instantiate effective governance, and manage organizational changes. At Smartlogic, she will help the company manage and continue the outstanding growth it has seen in the last two years by refining its growth strategy in way that allows Smartlogic to continue its excellent customer service while also serving its new clients.
Lapkin regularly presents and writes on information management, information architecture, big data, defining an information infrastructure, enterprise architecture and business transformation. Before working at Gartner she was a certified enterprise architect at Cap Gemini. Lapkin has experience in a wide range of industry sectors. Clients she has helped include Thompson Reuters, Hallmark, the Federal Aviation Administration, various intelligence agencies in the US, UK and Europe, Boeing and JP Morgan Chase.
