Polo in Wine Country at Temecula Valley Polo Club - Second Season Opener Friday, May 16, 2014
Temecula, CA (PRWEB) May 02, 2014 -- Members, media, and all who love polo are invited to join The Temecula Valley Polo Club for their second season opening day in Temecula, California.
“We are most excited to have all come out and welcome the ponies and players on their big day in Temecula,” said Temecula Valley Polo Club president, Geraldine Strunsky. “This year is all about the members.”
The grand peaked tent, comfortable seating, croquet for the kids, and sunset is the perfect setting for action packed summer evenings in Temecula Valley Wine Country. Temecula Valley Polo Club offers the first grass polo field to open in Southern California in over fifty years, with purple mountain majesty of Mount Palomar as a striking backdrop for this gem in southwest Riverside County.
Opening day will begin at 5 p.m., with Skydive Elsinore landing on the field, 4-goal polo match between Temecula Valley Polo Club vs. BMW of Murrieta, the famous divot stomp at half time, music for everyone’s enjoyment, and food and cocktails available for purchase.
“Members of the club including media representatives are invited to attend our Barn Opening Barbecue to welcome the polo ponies in person on Friday May 9th at 5pm,” Strunsky said.
The 2014 season will once again focus on charitable events held at the Temecula Valley Polo club. Events scheduled include: The Temecula Theatre Foundation, Charity for Charity, Temecula Valley Women’s Club, Humanity of Justice Foundation, Travis Roy Foundation, Temecula Art Walk, and Villa Chardonnay Horse Sanctuary.
Temecula Valley Polo Club pro, Alvaro Tadeo, will lead the Polo School, educating people of all ages in the fine art of playing polo and horse care. “We will also be hosting two USPA clinics over the season,” said Strunsky. "The United States Polo Association, which will be celebrating its 125 anniversary next year, is represented by our own Scott Walker as the Lt. Governor of the Pacific Coast Circuit and is a regular player/member for the Temecula Valley Polo Club team."
Temecula Valley Polo Club is supported by BMW of Murrieta, Europa Village Winery, Southcoast Winery Resort, Doffo Winery, Stella Artois, YS Nutrition, and Rockstar Energy Drink.
“We invite Temecula, Murrieta, and all of Southwest Riverside and surrounding areas to join as members, or bring friends and family to tailgate,” said Strunsky. “Friday evenings in 2014, this will be the place to be.”
