Union Square Art Gallery Purchases Commercial Building in the Mission for $3.8M
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) May 02, 2014 -- The Weinstein Gallery, which features contemporary and modern artists including Chagall, Picasso, and Dali, has purchased the commercial property at 2548 Mission Street in the heart of the Mission. The property received multiple offers, with offers above the $3.8M selling price. The seller, whose family has owned businesses in the Mission since the 1920’s, selected Weinstein Gallery because of the beneficial impact an art gallery would have on the community. The seller was represented by Louis Cornejo of Urban Group Real Estate.
The property, a turn of the century brick and timber building with neoclassical façade details, has over 14,000 square feet on three levels. Weinstein plans to rehab the building to house their new art gallery.
Settled on Mission’s Miracle Mile, 2548 Mission Street is next door to the New Mission Theatre currently being renovated by the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and Mission’s acclaimed restaurants Foreign Cinema and Lolinda.
