Zenith Systems Shines to Power Cleveland’s New, Revitalized Playhouse Square
Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) May 01, 2014 -- Over the past 18 months, and throughout one of the toughest winters in Cleveland’s history, Zenith Systems has worked diligently to help transform the new, revitalized Playhouse Square into a dazzling theatre district.
Working as a project partner with Turner Construction, the experienced team of Zenith professionals completed all facets of this project including the technology system infrastructure and electrical power installation, fiber optic wiring installations, controls and power feed for the new chandelier, installation of all of the new LED digital display boards, powering of the cable systems, lighting of Star Plaza and even the traffic control systems. Zenith technicians will be on hand for the May 2 grand opening to reinforce the crew as they unveil and – for the first time – illuminate the spectacular chandelier.
Born out of a long-term working relationship with Playhouse Square, Zenith Systems’ goal was to improve the neighborhood and create a vision of what the playhouse district should look like, as well as to attract people to the newly revitalized community.
“This was a great opportunity to be involved in another high-profile project in our hometown. All the sidewalk features in this condensed area are unique and more organized than even those on Times Square. The project was a collaborative effort to brighten the neighborhood, provide increased safety for the city and connect the whole region, resulting in a unified theatre district,” said Dave Verzi, Zenith Systems Lead Project Manager.
Listed on the project as the ELV (electric low voltage) contractor, Zenith Systems was the “enabler” of the project, setting up and connecting the electrical, communications infrastructure and other various systems for everything in the district.
The Playhouse Square project was completed within budget and on time, with no time lost due to injuries, despite harsh weather conditions. The team was safety-trained with the scaffolding, and committed to the highest level of safety given the active, public environment of this project.
Given Zenith Systems’ impressive project portfolio, the team is truly a total solutions provider, offering a complete line of electrical and technology contracting services, and shaping the experience and neighborhoods of Clevelanders. Zenith is currently working on the new First Energy Stadium renovation project, and recent projects include the Global Center for Health Innovation and Cleveland Convention Center, Cleveland Museum of Art, the new Eaton Center, Marymount Hospital, Cleveland Clinic data centers and countless schools throughout Ohio.
