Long Island Golf Event to Benefit World T.E.A.M. Sports
Holbrook, New York (PRWEB) May 02, 2014 -- Fresh from its record support of non-profit World T.E.A.M. Sports' annual Face of America bicycle and hand cycle ride honoring injured military veterans, American Portfolios Financial Services, Inc. is planning a May 16 golf outing to support the organization's upcoming inclusive sporting events.
To be held at the Rock Hill Golf and Country Club in Manorville, New York, the fund raising event will primarily provide financial assistance for the CanAm Veterans' Challenge, a two-week bicycle ride from Ottawa, Ontario to Washington D.C. that begins June 20. The ride includes 20 injured veterans from the United States, Canada and Denmark, who will ride from 40 to 100 miles each day on a journey from national capital to national capital.
"You can help make a difference by pledging a sponsorship donation or by sponsoring a hole and then joining us on May 16 to play golf," said MaryAnn Rosolino of American Portfolios. "This option comes with the added opportunity of networking with many of the firm's advisers, who will also be in attendance."
Individuals or foursomes can join the outing by registering with Rosolino or with colleague Sandy White. Corporate sponsorships are also available for the event. On-site registration begins at 8 a.m. Cost is $200 per player, or $760 for a foursome. Deadline for registration is May 9.
Registration includes a Continental breakfast, a buffet lunch, cocktails and shotgun-style play. Participants also are provided an opportunity to win a variety of raffle prizes.
The 18 hole Rock Hill Golf and Country Club opened for play in 1965 and was designed by renowned architect Frank Duane. Newsday has named the course as one of the top ten on Long Island, and in 2010, it was recognized as the Golf Course of the Year by the Long Island Golf Course Owner's Association.
"American Portfolios is proud of its commitment to the community and knowing that it does business with equally dedicated business partners and advisers," said Rosolino. "We recognize that you support a number of worthy organizations and we are thankful for your consideration of World T.E.A.M. Sports as a recipient of your generosity. Remember, every donation makes a difference."
American Portfolios, a full-service broker/dealer and registered FINRA/SIPC member firm, is an active supporter of the Holbrook non-profit. American Portfolios employees, affiliated advisers and business partners have been participating in events and raising money for World T.E.A.M. Sports since 2006.
