UnivoIP Inc, a leading business VoIP provider in Southern California has tapped Chris Vuillaume to be its VP of Sales. Chris will be responsible for growing top-line revenue while bolstering the sales and marketing teams. With nearly 20 years of business, telecommunication, software (and SaaS) leadership experience, Chris has a strong track record for growing both small and large enterprises.

Known as a serial entrepreneur and executive, he has made a name for himself through innovating, leading, and bringing to market highly successful products used by millions of business users today. He established a successful career in building and managing sales teams, leading change and leveraging existing technology and market assets in highly competitive and global business environments.

Prior to UniVoIP, Chris has held a number of high profile positions, such as SVP Global Sales at Everbridge (with full revenue responsibility for $22M+). VP of IP Telephony and Marketing Business Development at Alcatel Internetworking, Inc and SVP of Sales/Business Development/Channel at Fonality, responsible for all direct and indirect WW sales.

During his tenure at Fonality, Chris built a strong Inside Sales team with 35 people ($35m rev), and helped Fonality to grow direct sales, built an indirect sales business with Agents/Resellers/OEM in and outside US (building business in Australia and Japan) and launched a disruptive SaaS solution achieving 100%+ growth YtY. Chris had signed and managed a major OEM partnership with Dell and sold to more than 2000 customers in 18 months.

Chris’s traits as an entrepreneur and innovator are reflected in his experience as Founder of Santa Clara, CA-based NETMANSYS. There he served in a variety of roles where he was responsible for developing the marketing plan and product strategy to bring the product to market, as well as playing a key component in the expansion of the company to the United States from France. Later as VP, Business Development, Mr. Vuillaume’s focus was managing strategic alliances with key customers, technology and distribution partners and created, communicated, and implemented the marketing strategy and plan for the company worldwide.

Chris will be reporting to UniVoIP’s CEO, Asghar Ghassemy.
