The Clubhouse at Peacock Gap is pleased to announce the appointment of Kris Hillard as Director of Special Events. Ms. Hillard brings over 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including nearly 15 years serving as the Director of Sales for Inn Marin. In her new role at the Clubhouse at Peacock Gap, Ms. Hillard will be focused on facilitating business meetings and special events for the brand new state-of-the-art event center located in Marin County, California.

Recognized as a Meeting Professional of the Year by MPI’s Northern California Chapter, Ms. Hillard has a diverse background organizing events of all sizes. Among the most notable, she has organized the Microbrewery Festival in Newport, Oregon; the Community Cinco de Mayo Celebration in Ashland, Oregon; and the American Delegation’s reception at the official residence of the American Ambassador to France Pamela Harriman during the Paris Air Show.

In addition to her special events expertise, Ms. Hillard has a history of active involvement in professional and community organizations. She currently serves as President of the Northern California Chapter of the Green Meeting Industry Council (GMIC). Ms. Hillard is also an active member of the Society of Government Meeting Professionals (SGMP), and she currently serves on the Novato Chamber of Commerce’s Tourism, Golf, and Art & Wine Festival committees. Additionally, she served on the Leadership Team for the Northern California Chapter of the Meeting Professionals International (MPINCC) for 5 years. As committee chair for MPINCC she created “Heart, Hope and Hand” – a fundraising event for Project Open Hand and Sunburst Projects.

Ms. Hillard is a native of the Pacific Northwest and holds a degree in History from Colorado State University. She has lived in Northern California since 1997.
