The Clubhouse at Peacock Gap is pleased to announce the appointment of Mary Jo “MJ” Baird as Director of Catering Sales. Ms. Baird is an experienced hospitality professional with over 20 years of professional sales expertise. In her new role, Ms. Baird will be focused on bringing social events such as weddings, parties, banquets, and celebrations of all types to Marin’s brand new special event venue at Peacock Gap.

Ms. Baird’s past experience includes sales, event management and wedding planning for several notable event venues, including the San Diego Convention Center; the River Terrace Inn in Napa, California; the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, California; and the El Dorado Hotel in Santa Fe, New Mexico where she coordinated catering events for The Governor’s office of the State of New Mexico.

With a family heritage rooted in Spanish winemakers, Ms. Baird is a natural fit for Marin County. She is a certified Sommelier from the United States Sommelier Association, and she studied with Penn Foster to gain accreditation as a Certified Wedding Planner. Her background, knowledge and passion for menu planning, food and wine pairings, and event coordination give her a unique perspective and ability to help clients create extraordinary experiences.

Ms. Baird is a California native and resides in Marin County, California. She continues her wine education at Sonoma State University.
