London, United kingdom (PRWEB UK) 6 May 2014
Duncan Lewis Solicitors have been shortlisted for an award in the LawWorks Pro Bono Awards 2014 under the category “Best contribution by a law firm”.
As the only Legal Aid firm nominated, Duncan Lewis will be up against several other high-profile law firms in competition for the award that recognises and celebrates outstanding contribution to Pro Bono work by the winning firm.
Throughout 2014 Duncan Lewis have demonstrated a continuing commitment to Pro Bono work, which has culminated in them being recognised as the LawWorks Firm of the Month in February. This prestigious award is in recognition of their ongoing Pro Bono work and support of the Solicitors Pro Bono Group.

Younes Ech-Chadli, member of the Duncan Lewis Pro Bono Committee added:
"This nomination from LawWorks is recognition of the continuing commitment of Duncan Lewis Solicitors to 'Giving people a voice' through its Pro Bono activities. This has been brought to the fore by the unprecedented changes to Legal Aid, which has had the effect of denying many vulnerable individuals their fundamental right to access justice. This nomination shows that the firm has gone above and beyond its Legal Aid commitments and is peerless in its commitment to enabling access justice for all. All credit goes to the Firm and the members of staff involved in all Pro Bono activities."
The LawWorks Pro Bono Awards 2014 will be held at the Royal College of Surgeons on Wednesday 11th June. If you would like to reserve tickets please get in touch with Anne Monk on anne(dot)monk(at)lawworks(dot)org(dot)uk or by phone; 020 7092 3941.
