Kowa Optimed Will Debut New Low Light Color Camera and Megapixel Zoom Lenses at the 2014 SPIE DSS Show
Torrance, CA (PRWEB) May 05, 2014 -- Kowa is excited to announce that it will be exhibiting at this year’s SPIE DSS Show from May 6th-8th in Baltimore, Maryland.
Newly released Kowa lenses and cameras will be featured in booth 972. Attendees will be the first in the U.S. to see how Kowa’s new vision products can improve surveillance systems in critical areas such as target recognition and identification.
One of these featured products is Kowa’s new 2/3” CMOS 2MP color camera, which can capture images at a light level as low as 0.005 lux. Designed for high-end surveillance applications where color is required in dark settings, the SC200PK1C camera provides a high sensitivity similar to EMCCD type sensors. The corresponding 1” 5MP 60mm F0.8 lens is six times brighter than any standard 50mm F2.0 lens on the market today, making this duo capable of providing the brightest color image in low light conditions possible.
Kowa will also feature three prominent megapixel zoom lens series – the LMZ20750, LMZ20550-IR, and LMZ16160-IR series. The new megapixel 1/1.8” 20-750mm LMZ20750-XF zoom lens series utilizes Kowa’s unique Ball Bearing Cam design and XD (eXtra low Dispersion) glass to improve resilience to shock and vibration and decrease chromatic aberration. Kowa’s 1” 16-160mm LMZ16160-IR series and the 1/1.8” 20-550mm LMZ20550-IR series are high definition day/night lenses designed for cameras with 5MP resolution or greater.
