American Quilter’s Society Presents the AQS 30th Anniversary Dogwood Online Quilt Competition
Paducah, KY (PRWEB) May 05, 2014 -- The American Quilter's Society is pleased to announce the AQS 30th Anniversary Dogwood Online Quilt Competition. This online, viewer’s choice competition is open to quilts between 40” and 60” in both width and length. Approximately 50% or more of the fabric used in the quilt must be from the AQS Anniversary Dogwood Fabric Collection. Six awards will be given out to winners of this contest, including the grand prize of a Baby Lock Aria Sewing Machine valued at $4,999. Each quilt submission must be completed and entered online by midnight CST, January 1, 2015.
“The best thing about the AQS 30th Anniversary Dogwood Online Quilt Competition is that it is all about the quilters,” said Lynn Loyd, Director of Product Development for American Quilter’s Society. “The fabric requirements are minimal. Quilters enter for free, and judge their own work.” Quilts entered in the completion may be quilted by hand, machine or both. They can be original creations or sewn from a pattern with copyright permission. As part of the judging process quilters may vote for one quilt of their choice each day.
The grand prize Baby Lock Aria Sewing Machine comes complete with Digital Dual-Feed System, Enhanced Stadium Lighting, Color LCD Touch Screen, Quick-Set, Drop-in Bobbin and more. Additional prizes include shop.americanquitler.com gift certificates ranging from $350 to $100 in value. All entrants will receive a $10 AQS gift certificate to shop.americanquilter.com. Winners will be announced Thursday, February 5, 2015.
