Oklahoma City, OK (PRWEB) May 02, 2014
HAC, Inc., an employee owned regional supermarket chain based in Oklahoma, has acquired three former Harvey’s Supermarket stores in Georgia. The stores will begin transitioning over to the HAC, Inc. group on May 3rd, 2014 and will be added to the nine stores acquired by the company in October 2013, becoming the most recent additions to the company’s growing presence in the Georgia market.
The stores will be transitioned over to the Food World banner on May 4th, 2014 and were purchased following the sale of twelve stores from Delhaize Group to Bi-Lo Holdings, LLC. Two of the stores are located in Statesboro and one is in Vidalia, Georgia. The stores will close on May 3rd and re-open on May 5th as Food World stores.
“The Harvey’s locations are full of dedicated, long term associates and we plan to provide them with the tools they need to continue to serve their guests with outstanding service. Our focus will be on fresh, quality products, friendly service, with a strong commitment to the local community,” commented the company’s CEO, Darryl Fitzgerald.
Customers can expect to see the same friendly faces they’ve come to know and trust when the stores re-open on May 5th. Food World will offer a strong line of Best Choice and Always Save private label items as well as the best meat in town, Georgia grown products, triple inspected produce and a brand new Passport to Rewards card to use at the register for special promotions and giveaways, including a brand new 2014 Ford F150. When a customer uses their Passport to Rewards card they will automatically be entered to win the truck.
Customers will also be able to find the weekly ad online on the Food World website at http://www.food-world-stores.com and can connect with the company through the Food World Facebook page. Additionally, Food World will bring new ways to save by doubling coupons and offering special sales throughout the week, including Wild Wednesdays.
