Silicon Valley Gives: 24-hour Fundraising Effort Will Raise Millions for Local Nonprofits

Silicon Valley Gives is a 24-hour effort to raise millions for more than 650 charities in Santa Clara, San Mateo and San Benito counties, and is the region’s first-ever “giving day.”

WHY:
“SVGives will raise awareness of – and money for – the many terrific organizations working to make our communities stronger, and along the way we are helping nonprofits strengthen their own capacity to attract donors and build for the future,” said Emmett Carson, CEO and president of Silicon Valley Community Foundation. SVCF is hosting the event along with lead sponsor Microsoft.
