This week the Advanced Medical New Graduate Program welcomed Amanda Young to its roster of travel therapy mentors. The New Graduate Program is aimed at full therapists looking for a higher level of professional development within Travel Therapy. The program provides candidates with financial and professional incentives to work in diverse settings at locations all across the country. In addition, it provides 2 years of free continuing education credits and access to elite medical facilities. The key component of the program is the clinical support provided by the mentoring team.
Amanda Young is a native of Frewsburg, NY - a small town in the southwest corner of the state. Amanda stayed in state to attend the State University of New York for both undergrad and DPT completion. Located in Buffalo, SUNY is a renowned institution that perennially ranks among the nation’s top research universities. A “true traveler” in every sense of the word, Amanda has already acquired 7 state licenses. She was initially attracted to travel therapy in order to try different settings before settling down. Amanda quickly fell in love with the flexibility and diversity of travel therapy, making countless relationships along the way. Amanda will now look to share her knowledge and polished proficiency with new traveling physical therapists.
“Amanda brings an infectious energy to everything she does,” stated Ryan Lantz, Director of the New Graduate Program at Advanced Medical. “Her high evaluations, tireless work ethic, and desire to help others, make Amanda a perfect fit for our mentoring team. We look forward to seeing her in action.” As part of her mentoring duties, Amanda will also work various career fairs, conventions, and do alumni outreach. The mentoring role also prepares a traveler for the adjustment of life as a traveling physical therapist, which is essential to the confidence of the new graduate traveler.
