More Fun This Memorial Day Weekend at the Holiday Inn Resort
Panama City Beach, Fl (PRWEB) May 07, 2014 -- Summer may not officially start until June 21st, but at the Holiday Inn Resort Panama City Beach Memorial Day Weekend has always marked the start of the fun family summer vacation season – and this year the resort has big plans to make this special weekend even more fun and exciting.
Traditionally, the resort celebrates Memorial Day with a full weekend of patriotic activities, great cookouts on the pool deck, and always ends each day by playing “God Bless The USA” by Lee Greenwood. This year the resort team plans to keep that tradition rolling, but since Memorial Day Weekend is also the anniversary of their grand opening in 1990, the Resort is going to celebrate both occasions.
“It’s going to be an incredible weekend. We’re going to have a great mix of activities for kids and families both to enjoy over Memorial Day Weekend; some activities will be patriotic, some will be birthday party themed, and some will be a throw-back to the 90’s.” Says Heather Register, Activities Manager at the Holiday Inn Resort.
The resort’s Activities Schedule will include everything from a Luau Themed Lunch for kids, a 90’s Themed Kids’ Night Out, a Memorial Day Tribute on the pool deck complete with music and balloon release, to fun games such as Family Double Dare – resort style, right on the beach! The activities will start at 9:30 in the morning and run all throughout the day, and are complimented by a full entertainment schedule that includes everything from poolside music to the Polynesian Fire & Dance Show. This celebration weekend will also include a huge birthday cake, party favors, music, and more.
As a part of this celebration, the resort is also giving away a stay in their Penthouse Suite with their Sweet Suite Summer Celebration Sweepstakes, and plans to announce the winner of this incredible prize on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26th 2014.
