Free Auto Accident Checklist Helps Drivers Avoid Confusion When in an Accident
Seattle, Washington (PRWEB) June 30, 2014 -- Highway 2 from Everett to Stevens Pass has been called the "Highway of Death" and despite safety efforts U.S. Safety Coalition Fred Walser says, "A six-inch wide rumble bar does not prevent drunk drivers or people that flat fall asleep from being across the center line and hitting someone before they wake up" (http://kiroradio.com/listen/9965960/#).
As usual, every summer brings vacationing tourists which increases traffic along already busy roadways. The odds of fatal auto accidents along this Everett location and other highways across Washington State also increases.
Although most summer months have a lot of traffic, August has the most car crashes making it the most dangerous. From MSN, "According to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration records going back to 1994, more Americans die in car crashes in August than at any other time of the year" (http://money.msn.com/auto-insurance/the-deadliest-month-on-the-road.aspx).
To help, Everett attorney Rob Kornfeld has developed an accident checklist for Seattle area drivers to protect their rights in case of an auto accident.
With the weather clearer, it seems that accidents would be less common, but that's not so. Kornfeld cites these reasons behind the increased fatalities in auto accidents during the summer:
(1) Vacation drivers congesting roads and unfamiliar with roadways cause accidents.
(2) More teenagers on the road means inexperienced drivers are clogging the roadways.
(3) Construction work is more common in the summer and can contribute to accidents.
(4) More bicycles and motorcycles are on the roads and are often not spotted by drivers.
(5) Tire blowouts are more common in the summer because heat makes them expand.
When drivers are in an accident, the first reaction is often fear and confusion. To help accident victims get through the initial trauma while protecting their legal rights, Kornfeld has developed an essential checklist that can be printed or downloaded for free here.

This checklist takes drivers through the after-accident process to keep them calm, safe and their rights intact. There are specific fields to fill in with information as well as tips on what to do at the time of the accident.
Kornfeld says, “Not only do I represent auto accident victims everyday, but I've also been in a serious accident where a careless driver crossed the median and struck me head on. I know first-hand how confusing the aftermath of an accident can be. I developed this checklist based on my personal experience with a serious accident and hope that drivers will print this list and keep it in their vehicle so they are prepared.”
Rob Kornfeld has advocated for personal injury victims for more than 30 years. He knows the tactics insurance companies use to try and cheat accident victims out of a fair settlement. Auto accidents can leave victims with years of medical treatment and recuperation ahead of them and, in some cases, permanent injuries that impact quality of life.
Despite their friendly commercials, the average insurance company prioritizes profit and this means minimizing settlements for accident victims. Rob Kornfeld understands this and fights every day to protect accident victims' rights to ensure they get the best possible compensation for their injuries.
After an auto accident, use the checklist to protect your rights. The first priority is to stay calm, call the police and request an ambulance if your injuries are serious.
