Fort Dodge, IA (PRWEB) May 07, 2014
Live entertainment is planned for Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoon during the Fort Frenzy Grand Opening.
"We are a family entertainment center and this weekend we are showcasing all we have to offer for our community." According to Effie Hill, General Manager of Fort Frenzy. "By adding entertainment from across the US like Peter Karp and Sue Foley duo from New Jersey to our weekend line up, we will also be attracting visitors from all over the Midwest to our community.
The Saturday evening concert line up includes headliners Peter Karp and Sue Foley who will be traveling from New Jersey with a sound that encompasses folk, jazz, flamenco & blues resulting in an event that will be moving, literate, romantic, rocking & exciting.
"The chemistry shared between Peter Karp and Sue Foley is something that doesn't come around very often, and the musical relationship is way too good to fail." Brian D. Holland - Blues Revue
Standing Hampton is set to rock the stage Friday night. Capturing the sound and magic from the glory days of classic rock, Standing Hampton performs the best musical nuggets from the 70’s, 80’s and beyond, harnessing the energy and spectacle of rock at its best.
Rounding off the celebration is the Kris Karr Band as the opening act on Saturday night and returning again Sunday afternoon. A local favorite, the Kris Karr Band Band is an Americana band performing a mix of original songs and covers. Known for big vocals, solid rhythm section, full guitar sounds, making for powerful performances.
To add another flavor of entertainment Fort Frenzy is bringing in The Barn Owls as the last band on the Sunday concert line up. The nationally recognized Owls are powered by fiddle, guitar, mandolin, piano, accordion, tin whistle and upright bass and give new wing to the exciting sound of the traditional American string band. It's good old-fashioned, toe-tapping, foot-stomping entertainment brought up to date with fresh renditions of time-honored tunes and songs, as well as new compositions that add to the tradition.
The new outdoor attractions will also be open. Enjoy the fleet of 30 electric go-karts, miniature golf, water Bumper Boats and Water Wars. All the indoor attractions including arcade, roller skating, spin zone, mini bowling and the Frenzy Cafe.
