“As a nurse myself, I know that it is a tremendously rewarding profession,” said Brian Short, Founder of allnurses.com. “But, there are times when it is frustrating, stressful and even heartbreaking. You’d be surprised how two simple words can make a big difference in a nurse’s day.”

Established by the American Nurses Association (ANA), National Nurse Appreciation Week occurs annually from May 6th (National Nurses Day) to May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.
