The Florida Writers Association Presents the Nonfiction Mini-Conference
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) May 06, 2014 -- The Florida Writers Association will present the Nonfiction Mini-Conference on Saturday, June 28 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Hilton Orlando/Altamonte Springs. At this annual conference, an eclectic lineup of esteemed authors, editors and publishers will discuss every aspect of the nonfiction publishing industry. Speakers include writer Jason Brick, author Rik Feeney, agent Diana Finch, contest expert Su Gerheim, journalist and editor Larry J. Leech II, writer Tracy Lesch, industry veteran Ally E. Machate, writer Marti Pieper, editor Ayssa Pierce and publisher David Welday. Presentation topics run a wide gamut, including “Nine Habits of Profitable Writing,” “Editing Basics for Authors and Self-Publishers,” “Indie Publishing: Alternative or Addition,” “How to Write a Memoir,” “How to Write a Winning Book Proposal” and “How to Market Your Book.”
The Nonfiction Mini-Conference registration fee is $69 for Florida Writers Association members and $89 for non-members. Continental breakfast, snacks and lunch are included in registration fee. The Hilton Orlando/Altamonte Springs is located 350 S. Northlake Boulevard in Altamonte Springs, FL.
The Florida Writers Association, 1,300 members strong and growing, is a nonprofit 501(c) (6) organization that supports the state’s established and emerging writers. Membership is open to the public.
