Pixami Announces Major Update to Its Online Yearbook Software
Pleasanton, CA (PRWEB) May 06, 2014 -- Pixami, the leading provider of online yearbook and consumer photo book solutions, today announced a major update to its Yearbook Edition school yearbook software.
While finishing up a very successful third year in the yearbook business, Pixami announced plans to make a new version of its software available in August, in preparation for the 2014-15 school year. The updated software will contain a wealth of new features and enhancements including a larger, redesigned page editor, an expanded set of theme-based template content, a new intelligent ‘wizard’ for managing portrait pages, enhanced user administration capabilities, and many other major and minor usability and performance improvements.
According to Gary Wood, Pixami’s VP Sales and Marketing, “Pixami is committed to rapidly expanding our presence in the yearbook business. We’ve had great success in a short time, and are proud to be working with some of the biggest names in the school yearbook business.”
He added, “Feedback from these customers has been essential in helping us guide product direction and continue to push the envelope. We’re all very excited for the launch of this new version!”
Pixami’s Yearbook Edition made a splash when it was launched in 2012, after three years in development and a year of live beta testing with 200 schools, as the only licensable online yearbook software application. Groundbreaking features like smartphone and tablet compatibility, advanced online design collaboration, a full e-commerce sales platform, and individually personalized yearbook pages contributed to fast growth and great feedback from Pixami customers.
Pixami’s Yearbook Edition software license includes all hosting, maintenance and support, with licensing primarily to Yearbook publishers and digital printers serving the school yearbook business. The software is available now from Pixami, and the new version will be available in August for the 2014-15 school year. Current Pixami customers will receive the upgrade at no charge as part of their license.
