When Enterprising Women Magazine looks for exceptional businesswomen to award, where do they look? They need search no further than Las Vegas's own Chris Harvey of Design Factory http://dflv.com. She is one of a handful of recipients of the magazine's Enterprising Woman of the Year award for 2014.
These awards aren't given out solely for financial success. Enterprising Women Magazine also requires that award recipients stand out as leaders in their business or social communities. Finally, Enterprising Woman of the Year winners are women who support women and girl entrepreneurs.
This support must be active support, such as mentor-ship or leadership in their community. Many of the honorees are part of organizations that promote women's entrepreneurship.
The award puts Harvey in the company of other female business owners and entrepreneurs around the world. Widely known as one of the most prestigious programs for recognizing women, it is a distinct honor to be a part of this select group.
“I'm honored to receive the award,” says Harvey, a veteran in the trade show industry since 1989. “I hope we'll see more women from Las Vegas considered for the award in years to come. There are plenty who qualify!”
2014 marks the 12th year that Enterprising Women has given out the Enterprising Woman of the Year Awards. The awards receive support from Fortune 500 and other companies. UPS, IBM, and American Airlines have been major sponsors for all 12 of those years.
