Institute for Supply Management Recognizes Northern Virginia Affiliate for Service and Member Excellence
Arlington, VA (PRWEB) May 08, 2014 -- The Institute for Supply Management (ISM), the premier trade association for supply management professionals, recently recognized its Northern Virginia affiliate (ISM-NVA) for service and member excellence. ISM-NVA received the prestigious “Affiliate Excellence” award from ISM and Dale Bartholomew, ISM-NVA Director of Education, was recognized by ISM as “Person of the Year for Education/Learning.” Both awards were presented by ISM executives at ISM’s 2014 International Supply Management Conference held in Las Vegas, NV May 4-7, 2014, a conference attended by thousands. Irene Marnell, President of ISM-NVA, graciously accepted the award, “The Affiliate Excellence award is a source of great pride for our affiliate, and shows our dedication to help others in the profession as well as to provide the highest level of service to our members.” Marnell also commented on Bartholomew’s award, “Dale’s tireless efforts for both the ISM-NVA and the ISM-Cooperative Utilities affiliates attest to his strong philosophy of giving back to the supply management profession by preparing, educating, and mentoring others.”
ISM-NVA is a relatively new affiliate, started in 2012 and officially recognized by ISM in January 2013, but has progressed quickly in its mission to serve its members.
