Steve Pulley's "Ride 4 Recovery," Sponsored by Willingway and The Wilingway Foundation, Makes Its Way Through Alabama, Florida
Statesboro, GA (PRWEB) May 06, 2014 -- Steve Pulley set out on his bicycle over a month ago to change the world. Dozens of cities later, he is doing just that. Steve's "Ride 4 Recovery" was started to raise awareness of the struggles with alcohol and drug addiction and to change public perception of addiction recovery.
Having battled the disease of addiction himself, Steve wanted to make a difference and show the world that there is hope in recovery. A recent graduate of Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA, Steve had a short break before starting graduate school at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. He thought the perfect way to "give back" would be to ride across the country and bring light to the stigma usually associated with addiction. His trip originated in San Diego, California and he is now traveling through Alabama and Florida before heading back to Georgia.
The "Ride 4 Recovery" is proudly sponsored by Willingway, the addiction treatment experts, and the Willingway Foundation. All proceeds from the ride will go to support the Center for Addiction Recovery at Georgia Southern University.
