Whether it’s at home or in front of a live audience, my mom is still my favorite cooking partner. I make the recipes that she taught me as a kid growing up.

What better way can there be to celebrate Mother’s Day than baking up a batch of delicious cookies with mom in a kitchen powered by a restaurant-quality BlueStar® range?

Not much, according to Chef Ryan Scott. “Even though I cook all day long, I still love cooking at home,” explains Scott. “My mother taught me that food brings together family and friends, and being able to work on a restaurant-quality range at home makes that possible.”

As a BlueStar® fan, Chef Scott appreciates appliances that can keep up with his high-energy lifestyle and need for high-powered cooking performance. “The precise, even heat of my BlueStar 22,000 BTU gas burners ensures perfect results every time,” says Scott. “But it’s the large capacity of the oven that makes it easy to make a double batch of cookies every time. The oven is large enough to easily fit a commercial sheet pan.”

"Whether it’s at home or in front of a live audience, my mom is still my favorite cooking partner. I make the recipes that she taught me as a kid growing up," says Scott.

“This is one of the best recipes I have ever come across, especially since it's my mom's. Enjoy and switch it up and add butterscotch chips if you like with some crushed hazelnuts,” says Scott. “Anything my mom makes is my fav! Her chocolate chip cookies are such a great memory of summer days and swimming all day with the family.”
