Kajeet Provides Student Wi-Fi for Houston-Area Summer School Program

Kajeet’s school-managed Wi-Fi hotspots use the Sprint 4G LTE network to keep students connected to educational resources on the Internet when they are at home or on the go this summer. The students participating in the program need extra preparation before they begin Kindergarten.
“We want to help these students work on early reading skills in an online, fun environment. As part of this pilot program, students will be provided with a laptop and a Kajeet SmartSpot for safe mobile broadband at home or while on vacation during the summer. The Kajeet SmartSpot solution offers an affordable and simple option to bridge the digital divide providing disadvantaged students with broadband access to the Internet for educational purposes anytime or anywhere. In this Houston-area school district, approximately 50 percent of the students receive free or reduced-cost lunch.
