Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) May 07, 2014 -- Talk about a hot ticket straight to the top. It's no secret, especially to the dozens upon dozens of dedicated young Directioners dialed in around the world: One Direction has always been headed up. Ever since hitting the mainstream in 2010, they've grown exponentially more and more popular each year.
Currently, the British-Irish boy band is performing in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo before heading home to play in Dublin, Manchester, Edinburgh and London. More stops in Europe are also on the slate through June and July.
On August 1, 2014, the band opens the 29-date North American leg of their Where We Are tour at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, before heading on to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Nationals Park in D.C. and Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
Next on the schedule in August are concerts at Ford Field in Detroit, LP Field in Nashville, NRG Stadium in Houston, AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis and Soldier Field in Chicago before hitting the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on September 11 and 12, 2014.
“Recently, One Direction scored a Brit Award, three Billboard Music Awards, six Teen Choice Awards, three MTV EMAs and a Moonman for Best Song of the Summer at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards,” said Marta Ault at online ticket marketplace BuyAnySeat.com.

After debuting in 2010 on the U.K. version of X Factor, One Direction has shot straight to the top of global stardom. The group is made up of Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. All of the group members hail from the U.K., except for Horan, who is from Ireland. The band played at the 2012 Summer Olympics closing ceremony and made history as the first British group to top the Billboard 200 with a debut album, Up All Night.
The track also became 2011's fastest-selling UK debut album. The album's lead single, "What Makes You Beautiful”, debuted at No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100. The boys also won Best New Artist, Best Pop Video and Best Share-Worthy Video for “What Makes You Beautiful” at the MTV 2012 VMAs.
