1st Annual Logs ‘n Hogs Rolling For Our Heroes to Include Skydiving Team Performance
Lancaster, KY (PRWEB) May 09, 2014 -- The Logs n’ Hogs Rolling For Our Heroes event starts as a motorcycle ride, beginning at Wildcat Harley in London, KY at 11:30, and ends at the Garrard County Fairgrounds where fun and festivities will ensue until 5pm. Festivities will include an air show featuring Team Fastrax, a world renowned skydiving team. They will be performing their amazing American flag skydive with their 2,000 sq. ft., 2 of their 1,100 sq. ft., and, 500 sq. ft., American Flags. It’s sure to be a sight you’ll not soon forget. Paratrooper Dana Bowman will be featured in the demo and will be jumping in with the 2,000 sq. ft. flag. Dana Bowman is a former member of the US Army’s Golden Knights and is currently a member of Team Fastrax. Dana is a double amputee, and uses his life experience to work with other amputees and disabled or physically challenged people and is a very talented motivational speaker.
The Garrard County Fairgrounds is the perfect spot to host this amazing event to support the Boulder Crest Retreat for Veteran Wellness. According to the Logs n’ Hogs Facebook page, this event is organized by Tommy and Gwen Mitchell from the TV show Log Heads and is set to benefit the ongoing operations at Boulder Crest Retreat for Veteran Wellness. The mission of Boulder Crest Retreat is to create a free, first class rural retreat for outpatient and transitioning veterans where they can come with their families for short-duration healing retreats designed to enhance their progress towards rehabilitation and reintegration back into the military or civilian life. The retreat opened its doors on September 6th, 2013 to serve approximately 1000 warriors and family members each year.

Registration for the ride will be held from 10am to 11:30am on Saturday the 10th. Advanced tickets are available at Wildcat Harley, Rocky Top Log Furniture and Rocky Top Shell. The bike fee is $25 (includes T-shirt), and the fairgrounds admission will be $10 (children 5 & under free). The fairgrounds are located at 7786 Lexington Rd., Lancaster, KY, 40444.
