Hospice Pharmacy Solutions (HPS) today announced that Autumn Spence has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Business Development. The appointment of Spence, a leading Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) and health care executive, signals a renewed focus on growth and development as a leading Pharmacy Benefit Management company for both hospices and pharmacies. Spence joins HPS after 12 years with Outcome Resources (OR), where she grew from one of the original sales representatives to Vice President of Business Development. In that role she helped build and manage OR’s Hospice Division, which represented a majority of OR customers form Puerto Rico to Hawaii. Spence was also responsible for the launch of the Pathways to Success Conference, collaboration with USA Today and MediaPlanet and creating the advocacy program at OR that partnered with the Hospice Action Network (HAN). Prior to OR, Spence held a number of leadership roles at Choice Regional Health Network (CHOICE), a non-profit coalition of acute, chronic, behavioral and wellness providers and organizations dedicated to improving the health of the residents in seven counties in the State of Washington. Currently, she is a member of the Advisory Board for CareFlash a private online social platform for developing meaningful communities in ways that enhance whole healing and improving outcomes around recovery, rehabilitation or in the months following loss. http://www.CareFlash.com

Spence joins Howard (Howk) Bethel on the executive team at HPS. Bethel started with the growing company in March 2014 as Director of Business Development. His promotion to Senior Vice President of Sales illustrates the growth and expansion of HPS as a leader of pharmacy solutions for the hospice community. Bethel joins HPS after 5 years with National HME, a leading durable medical equipment (DME) provider. Bethel was responsible for helping build the national sales team and establishing important relationships, contributing to rapid growth and expansion. Bethel has 25 years experience in the healthcare industry, specializing in hospice care.
