City of Charlotte Selects CSRware as Energy and Sustainability Partner
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) May 08, 2014 -- CSRware, a leader in Energy and Sustainability Management (ESM) and Sustainable Supply Chain Performance Management, is pleased to announce that CSRware®’s ESM, its cloud-based software, has been chosen by the City of Charlotte as its Energy and Sustainability Management (ESM) solution for its City Operations. The City will utilize the CSRware solutions to become an innovative national leader in environmental stewardship in City Operations and Facilities. The City of Charlotte will utilize the following CSRware products:
CSRware® - Energy and Sustainability Management (ESM), CSRware’s enterprise-class software application, provides the City with secure access to the data, reports and summaries that drive its programs for: reducing GHG (greenhouse) emissions, resource use and conservation, assets and facilities, employee education, and actions and service delivery and outreach. ESM offers scalable functionality from simple, out-of-the-box reporting to in-depth data analytics, and will enable the City to drive their Environmental Operations Plan forward with the ability to include City Operations and the community.
CSRware® - Compliance Vault (CM), CSRware has developed a compliance vault which will allow the City of Charlotte to securely upload and share compliance documentation. CM offers a unique way of uploading and assigning individuals to designated areas. The City can take advantage of the vault to share regulatory best practices and other key documents.
“The City of Charlotte is one of the top ten places to live, and CSRware helps make it so we keep this title,” said Rob Phocas, Energy and Sustainability Manager for the City of Charlotte. “CSRware has tailored a program to help us track our environmental impacts, including electricity, green procurement, waste reduction, natural assets, natural gas, and water consumption. CSRware makes it possible for us to develop a customized product that allows us to easily track, measure and report to our employees and citizens.”
The CSRware solution will enable the City to become an innovative environmental leader with their comprehensive Environmental Operations Plan. CSRware will provide natural resource consumption and cost information to help optimize usage and reduce operating expenses. The City of Charlotte operation is large and complex, and will use CSRware to help monitor and manage a wide network that includes: assets, facilities, fleet of vehicles, street lights, traffic lights, green procurement, waste management and outreach to the community.
“CSRware is honored to have been chosen by the City of Charlotte following extensive discussions about how to approach such a complex project to not only address the Environmental Operations Plan, but also the best way to make results available to the entire community by making programs and improvements transparent to the entire City,” said Karen Alonardo, Chief Executive Officer, CSRware. “It’s inspiring to play a role in such a key project for a city like Charlotte who cares about impact reductions, driving down costs and its role in the community. I firmly believe our services will enable the City to accomplish the goals set forth in its progressive Environmental Operations Plan.”
The CSRware ESM software will also enhance the city’s ability to plan future environmental and sustainability efficiency projects, identify undesired spikes in energy use more quickly, actively manage natural resource use system-wide, and allow the city to closely monitor progress toward meeting the city’s Environmental Operations Plan.
Alonardo continued, “We are proud of the actions taken by the City of Charlotte for their commitment in becoming a national leader in environmental stewardship, and look forward to partnering with them as they take their active initiatives to the next level.”
