Crown Automotive Group, a leading national auto dealer group, today announced that group vice president of sales and marketing, Joe Lamphier, took it all off again for the 5th Annual Bright House Networks Cut for a Cure Charity Challenge. During the annual event, individual community members and teams volunteer to have their heads shaved in support of pediatric cancer research. This is the third consecutive year Joe has participated. All event proceeds benefit the Pediatric Cancer Foundation and select nonprofit organizations.

Every hour of every day, a child is diagnosed with cancer. In addition, a young life is lost to the disease every 6.5 hours. Cut for a Cure Charity Challenge encourages men, women and children from the Tampa Bay area and communities nationwide to take a bold step forward to help curb these staggering statistics. This year's Tampa Bay event raised over $264,000.

Joe commented, "It is an honor to be able to support such a worthy cause. My life has been touched immeasurably by the courageous children and families that I know who have bravely battled cancer. It's a privilege to help these children, and all children, who deal with this destructive disease. Working together, we can all do our part to fund vital research and help ease and end suffering."

Joe Lamphier has been involved with the Pediatric Cancer Foundation since the early 90's when a friend’s son lost his fight with cancer, and Crown Automotive Group has supported the foundation for years. In fact, Joe has served on the board since 2003 and was its president from 2006-2007. Joe had his head shaved in memory of Camille Rawson, and in honor of Dana Bertoch and their wonderful families.
