#SpringSoiree - PTTE Is Raising Funds Supporting Cancer Research
New York, NY (PRWEB) May 08, 2014 -- Paint the Town Events (PTTE), will host Spring Soiree: A Party With A Purpose in Manhattan, supporting the American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR), on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 7pm. As patrons step onto the 16th floor at Top of the Garden and enter into a Spring wonderland, they will take delight in live jazz entertainment, open bar and hors d'oeuvres, as well as receive swag bags and participate in a silent auction.
The sponsors (NY Giants, Veuve Clicquot, Pinkberry and many more) have been beyond generous with their donations and it is very exciting to have them on-board with this event. A guest speaker from AICR will be discussing their organizations' mission, goals and how we can all give our support. Those who purchase tickets must be 21 years of age or older and are required to dress in cocktail attire.
Founded in 1982, AICR provides funding support for research on the relationship of cancer to diet, physical activity and body weight, as well as educate the public about how it relates to cancer prevention, treatment and survival. Everyone knows someone who is currently fighting cancer, has beaten the disease or unfortunately, lost the battle. "We believe the end of cancer begins with research and education. Science shows that about a third of the most common cancers can be prevented through healthy diet and lifestyle choices and, as President of AICR, I believe this lifesaving message is worth sharing," said Marilyn Gentry.
The co-founders of Paint the Town Events hope this will be an annual fundraiser showcasing various non-profit organizations who focus on the importance of cancer research. Please join their team to raise much-needed funds for research and education.
