A New Concept to Local Shopping Launches on June 14 in Salem, Oregon
Salem, OR (PRWEB) May 22, 2014 -- Eclectic NW was just an idea in Jennifer Cerf’s brain a couple of months ago. Jennifer is a local business owner who knows first-hand about the success a small business can receive from online shopping sites like Etsy.com and Amazon.com. She realized there was an opportunity to bring these online products to life by opening a brick-and-mortar shop in Oregon. Eclectic NW gives a new meaning to the shop local movement.
In just 2 months’ time, Eclectic NW has gone from an idea to the grand opening coming June 15th, featuring 200 local business vendors. The retail shop will showcase Oregon and SW Washington vendors that create products for events, birthdays, babies, kids, teens, weddings, parties, for the home, health, food, beauty, and more. Jennifer states, “My vision for Eclectic NW is to provide a retail outlet for local entrepreneurs (craftsmen, women, artisans) where they can thrive together as a community, supporting each other, and bring products from all over Oregon and SW Washington to consumers under one roof.” The goal is to be fair and reasonable with all the vendors, help them make a living doing what they love, and to share their amazing creations with local customers.
Each local business vendor is unique and one-of-a-kind. Most of them have already had success on Etsy.com. Kate Miles, one of the vendors, is a 14-year-old fashion designer who has already had her designs shown at New York Fashion Week! Juan Rodriguez is the owner of Qita Wear, masks that are custom designed using El-wire light. There is a mosaic artist with clients from all over the world, Kory Dollar, owner of Marvelous Mosaic, is also a featured vendor. These are just three vendors out of 200 that are part of Eclectic NW.
There is a special sneak peek event on June 14th from 12-5 pm that is open to the public and sponsored in part by Best Rate Limos and Tempus Photography. Expect to see products from 200 local business vendors, product demos, samples of local food and beverages, vendor presentations, raffles, mini DIY classes, door prizes, and mini makeovers. Most importantly, there is a fashion show and the official ribbon cutting ceremony with the Salem Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are $5 and $25 for VIP tickets. You can purchase tickets at https://eclecticnw.eventbrite.com. Ticket sales help support the continued sales and marketing efforts for Eclectic NW and helps keep costs low for our vendors.
Eclectic NW’s grand opening on June 15, from 12-5pm; is free and open to the public. Come enjoy food & drinks, DIY mini classes, a raffle, and special discounts on select merchandise. Come by and support local small businesses. The grand opening is located at 365 Ferry St. SE Salem, OR 97301.
