Coriant Brings Packet Optical Networking Innovation to Coppell, Texas
Naperville, IL (PRWEB) May 07, 2014 -- Coriant, a global supplier of dynamic metro-to-core transport solutions, announced today the launch of its new North American facility, a state-of-the-art customer service, logistics and customer solutions engineering center based in Coppell, Texas. Coriant plans to use this new Dallas-Fort Worth Area facility to support key customers and continue its unwavering commitment to customer-first values.
Coriant emerged from Nokia Siemens Networks’ Optical Networks business unit a year ago, merged with Sycamore Networks Solutions, Inc. in August 2013, and recently integrated Tellabs’ SDN-enabled packet optical and edge router products – creating a market-leading, end-to-end solutions portfolio proven in the world’s most demanding networks. Backed by the financial strength and long-term commitment of Marlin Equity Partners, Coriant intends to utilize the Coppell facility as part of its market leadership and innovation strategy. The proximity of this operations center will further Coriant’s ability to realize its customer-driven ethos in the 25,000 square foot facility providing close customer support and regional access.
Coppell Mayor Karen Hunt will attend the launch to welcome Coriant’s participation in the local community as a part of the town’s 2014 vision. Coriant Chairman Bob Leggett and CEO Pat DiPietro will open the new center alongside Coriant CMO Jayne Chace with launch proceedings that will set the scene for the next chapter for Coriant and the communities it serves. Representatives from Tier 1 U.S. operators will attend the event and contribute to the launch presentations and celebration. Mayor Hunt will also unveil a site-specific art installation created for the Coriant facility by local artist, Leslie Mattison.
“We are delighted to be opening this new facility in Coppell today as it will enable us to provide unprecedented support for our customers in the region and throughout North America. Our expanded operations here will leverage an exceptional team with proven expertise and experience supporting Tier 1 transport networks,” said Pat DiPietro, CEO, Coriant. “The technology scene is reaching an all-time high in Texas and Coriant is pleased to be here among other industry leaders. The location will also attract top talent to Coriant and to Coppell. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Coppell community for all of its support. We are eager to solidify our Coriant footprint in this region.”
