Construction Begins on New Senior Living Facility in Plano, TX
Richardson, TX (PRWEB) May 07, 2014 -- Indiana-based Mainstreet and Dallas-based Greenbrier Development, LLC have partnered with Adolfson & Peterson to build a new Next Generation® Medical Resort in Plano, TX.
Designed by PRDG Architecture, the 66,500 square-foot, two-story medical resort will offer 30 service-rich apartments for those who need well-planned assistance and 70 private and companion recovery suites for those in need of top-of-the-line rehabilitation and therapy services. Ninety percent of the rooms will be single-bed rooms with private bathrooms. The handsomely-appointed design and hotel-like environment will be comfortable and engaging with concierge-style delivery of services and inter-generational activities.
Once construction in completed during the first quarter of 2015, The Ensign Group will operate the resort.
“Our goal is to create a unique community where consumers can receive the quality care they expect while living in a place they can really enjoy,” Zeke Turner, CEO of Mainstreet said. “Baby Boomers are demanding the kind of high-end, hospitality-oriented amenities that our new property in Plano will offer. This is a meaningful paradigm shift and just one of the many centers we are building to transform the industry across the United States.”
“We are excited about the services this community will provide to residents of Plano and surrounding areas. This building will feature amenities and services that promote a superior quality of life,” said Tony Teague, Vice President at Greenbrier.
“We are delighted to partner with Mainstreet and Greenbrier Development on this important project,” said Corbett Nichter, Senior Vice President with Adolfson & Peterson Construction. “We look forward to building a world class health care center that will serve the residents of Plano and surrounding communities.”
The project site is located close to Plano Parkway and Independence Drive in Plano.
The soon-to-be-named community will offer a community room, four different dining venues, including a casual Wi-Fi-enabled café for lighter fare, and a pub for evening cocktails with friends and family, as well as two traditional, sit-down, restaurant-style dining areas. An on-site chef will ensure a quality dining experience. Other unique features designed to create an inviting atmosphere include an in-house movie theater (complete with popcorn machine), a fountain, fireplaces, salon for haircuts and manicures, fitness center, game room, spa, and art and music areas. Services are designed around the residents’ interest and schedule, a departure from traditional facilities. The resort is also designed to attract family and friends and encourage them to spend more quality time with loved-ones.
