Tampa Bay, FL (PRWEB) May 07, 2014
The Humane Society of Pinellas is set to host Adopt-a-Palooza, the largest pet adoption event in Pinellas County. The event will be held Sunday, May 18 from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Long Center, located at 1501 N. Belcher Road in Clearwater, FL 33765. This adoption event will feature more than 400 adoptable pets, 25 animal rescue organizations and over 2,500 guests.
The Humane Society of Pinellas, the county’s largest no-kill animal shelter, has strived to meet the ever-changing needs of its pets for over 60 years – the organization’s dedication has culminated in its first “Adopt-a-Palooza” event, providing a free venue for fellow animal adoption organizations, potential adopters, pets and their owners to have the opportunity to shop among various vendors for unique products and services, as well as enjoy activities designed for people and animals, such as:
•People and pet-related vendors;
•Demonstrations and concessions;
•Affordable micro chipping.
Sarah Brown, Executive Director of the Humane Society of Pinellas, says the organization is committed to finding the right homes for every animal in its care.
“We’re excited to have the opportunity to facilitate an event that invites fellow pet rescue organizations to join us in finding homes for their pets, as well as ours,” said Brown. “We’ve seen success with similar events before and we hope to reach even higher adoption numbers than we have in past years.”
Adopt-a-Palooza provides several sponsorship opportunities for local businesses and non-profits who will receive a prime vendor location, recognition in the event’s program and commemorative photos. The vendor registration fee is waived for not-for-profit rescue organizations.
The Humane Society of Pinellas would like to thank its sponsors at PetSmart Charities, Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Banfield Pet Hospital, Fast of Florida, Mr. Bill’s Fine Foods, Cassi & Co. Fashions, The New Barker, Creative Loafing, Hot 101.5 and Cox Media Group, whose radio personalities Phoebe, Seth & Chase, will be onsite at the event.
For those unable to attend the pet fair, the Humane Society enlists the help of volunteers and also accepts donations for help in providing its lifesaving services – 100% of contributions are retained by the organization.
