Puritan Financial Inc. is now hiring account executives, a salary plus bonus position. A full benefits package is also provided, including health care, 401K, and five weeks of paid vacation. The primary role of the AE is to build relationships and rapport with the clients. Puritan even provides preset appointments, along with professional training and developmental programs. “We believe, based on our research that we’ve created a position which is going to generate a lot of interest. It’s also win-win opportunity,” says Puritan CEO, Matthew McIntyre.
While the account executive position is open to seasoned agents, Puritan is reaching out to recent college graduates. Puritan’s National Marketing Director, Craig Wagner says, “We value and want the agents with 20 to 30 years of experience. We’re also opening our doors to those who want to learn the business, and we’re providing a foundation o they can.”
The account executive position works like this. AE’s come in for a Monday morning meeting. They’re then expected to run two new client appointments a day, five days a week. For every eight new clients they see, the company expects them to see two go-back appointments. A manager or a certified field trainer then goes on the appointment with the agent. Wagner says, “We’ve created a system that makes it easy for our AE’s to succeed, while providing excellent service to our clients.”
There’s also a defined career path at Puritan, from entry level to management. The positions are in this order: Account Executive, Sr. Account Executive, Certified Field Trainer, Sr. Certified Field Trainer and then District Manager. McIntyre says, “We’re looking for people who are disciplined, and ready to serve our clients. In return we’re providing excellent incentives.”
