Marketing won Best In-Store Event for Campo Viejo Wine in the 2014 Ex Awards, the world’s largest recognition program for experiential marketing and the only marketing program judged entirely by client-side marketers. Hailed as the largest event marketing awards event, more than 600 of the industry’s leading brand marketers and agencies come together to recognize the work that is helping to drive the global experiential marketing revolution.
BOOM! Marketing, is the Most Extraordinary Experiential and Engagement Agency and the World’s First Adversperiential Agency, won for its in-store program for Campo Viejo Wine, a Spanish wine from Corby Spirit and Wine Ltd. Instead of merely getting people to taste the wine, BOOM! created an interactive experience to help them understand the spirit of Campo Viejo. The solution was to bring a little bit of Spain to stores, and create an atmosphere resembling an authentic Spanish Tapas restaurant. Elevating these experiences sources from the great partnership between Corby and BOOM! and is reflected in many of the brands they work on together.

The events, held at stores across Canada, helped to build awareness of the brand, the “Live Uncorked” and the Spanish wine category, as well as driving sales of Campo Viejo wine. The result was 36% conversion rate, which equated to 180% return on investment.
