University Of Louisville Physicians Selects Shareable Ink To Improve Patient Care Through Clinical Documentation Enhancement
Nashville, TN and Louisville, KY (PRWEB) May 08, 2014 -- Shareable Ink®, an enterprise cloud computing company that transforms point-of-care clinical documentation to structured data and analytics, today announced that University of Louisville Physicians Inc. has selected Shareable Ink’s Anesthesia Cloud and ShareMU for 45 of its providers across 20 operating rooms. This implementation will include interfaces to University of Louisville Hospital/Kentucky One systems. As a part of the selection process, Shareable Ink was required to pass the organization’s risk assessment.
Shareable Ink’s Anesthesia Cloud takes advantage of a physician’s familiar workflows and forms. Checklists and alerts are embedded into the digital versions of the forms providing immediate feedback and information to the provider at the point of care. Reports can be prepared quickly and easily from the data collected on those forms, helping hospital and practice managers uncover new insights into operational, efficiency, and quality metrics.
University of Louisville Physicians anesthesiologists and their care teams will now use Shareable Ink’s pen to document data digitally by entering information directly onto electronic versions of forms they already are using. The data will then be immediately available to any of their providers who need access to treat a patient. University of Louisville Physicians will also participate in ShareMU, Shareable Ink’s Meaningful Use program for anesthesiologists.
“Clinical documentation enhancement is going to be key for us as we make the shift to pay-for-performance,” said Dr. Mark Boswell, chief of anesthesiology for University of Louisville Physicians. “Shareable Ink will provide us the tool for better documentation, enabling us to offer better patient care, with improved safety and outcomes.”
