Aileen was warmly welcomed by over a hundred of Star’s staff with champagne and a bouquet of flowers to congratulate her on her triumph. Staff were delighted to see Aileen again and were inspired by her courageous message and “to see a real Olympic medal up close was a bonus!” said Astrid Prado, Star Refrigeration Marketing manager.

Afterwards, the Olympian sat down with Director of Sales Alan Walkinshaw for a chat about her past, present and future in curling, which was filmed and is now available to watch on YouTube.

Neilson revealed her personal motto is “Wish It, Dream It, Do it”, adding “I wished to represent my country in the Paralympics, dreamt about it, and have now done it!”

During the interview, the bronze medallist thanked Star Refrigeration for their support throughout the years as sponsors of Braehead’s National Wheelchair Pairs Curling Championships, which Aileen regularly participates in and previously won in 2008.
