Pearl Software Enhances Internet Management Products
Exton, PA (PRWEB) May 13, 2014 -- Pearl Software announced the release of its latest Employee Internet monitoring and filtering products today. This interim release of its Pearl Echo product line includes additional feature support for Microsoft’s Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 operating systems. Pearl Echo’s seamless integration with Windows 8 now includes the ability to control file transfers that occur in any FTP application and even extends to download attempts that may occur within a Web browser. In addition, the updated release includes Windows 8 pattern matching to secure against dissemination of private content such as credit card or social security numbers. Pearl Echo’s updated architecture also puts the company in position to offer broader bandwidth controls in a planned future release.
“When we add new features to Pearl Echo we also endeavor to broaden the base platform on which our products are built. This gives us flexibility in responding to new requests that we continually receive from the marketplace,” said Pearl Software CTO, Joe Field. “With the release of Version 11, we’ve not only added FTP controls, we’ve added enhancements to eke out every bit of efficiency we can. It’s been many years in the making but we are starting to see the point where network speeds can deliver data faster than processors can process the data. That makes us very sensitive to working efficiently in order to maintain our competitive technical lead and commitment to causing no noticeable performance degradation.”
Pearl Echo provides organizations with the tools they need to control policies for user Internet access both on and off their network. Pearl Echo filters and monitors a variety of Internet activities including e-mail, web, IM and file transfers. The software's patented mobility technology is an ideal tool for organizations that require their policies to be enforced at the user-level in a Terminal Server, Citrix, Remote Desktop or Bring-Your-Own-Device environment.
