American Textile Recycling Service (ATRS) Brings ROCK RUN RECYCLE Campaign to SUJA Rock 'N Roll Marathon San Diego
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) May 19, 2014 -- American Textile Recycling Service employees and volunteers are teaming up once again to make the SUJA Rock N Roll Marathon a cleaner, greener community event May 30-June1st. Runners, participants and spectators are challenged to bring unwanted running gear and shoes to the Fitness Expo for recycling, and drop their warm-up gear into convenient Start Line carts marked ROCK, RUN, RECYCLE.
Look for volunteers in signature Bright Green Shirts at the race course where over 30,000 registered runners are expected to participate. Each pound collected on Race Day and at the Health and Fitness Expo directly benefits Southern California charitable partner, Giving Children Hope.
Perishables collected from the finish line will be collected by ATRS Recycling and delivered to support "We've Got Your Back" a school nutrition program throughout Southern California. Marathon apparel, warm-up gear and unclaimed medals will be recycled to support Giving Children Hope programs and services. The ROCK, RUN, RECYCLE campaign ensures thousands of pounds of race related recyclables are diverted from California's waste stream.
