Bronto Summit Showcases Leaders in Commerce Marketing
Durham, NC (PRWEB) May 09, 2014 -- Commerce and camaraderie went hand-in-hand at the just-concluded Bronto Summit 2014, held in Durham, North Carolina. Bronto Software, the leading marketing platform for commerce, brought together more than 300 leading executives, marketers and developers for three days of networking, keynote addresses and hands-on training in what was undoubtedly the company’s biggest and best Summit to date.
Now in its fifth year, the Bronto Summit has built a reputation for compelling presentations, and this year featured some of the top industry’s top minds talking about commerce marketing. Bronto CEO Joe Colopy set the tone for this year’s event with his opening-day keynote, “The Commerce Marketing Cloud Unveiled.” Attendees were also enlightened by e-commerce marketing guru Gary Vaynerchuk, who focused on “How to Tell Your Story in a Noisy Social World” and the need to adapt to an ever-changing marketplace.
Additional keynotes included Jamie Clarke, CEO and co-founder of LiveOutThere.com and serial entrepreneurs Tom Lotrecchiano and Joe Schmidt, founders of CanvasOnDemand, among other companies.
Fittingly for an event that celebrates the innovative spirit, Colopy announced the launch of Bronto’s new AppCenter, a collection of well-integrated point applications from leading e-commerce, personalization and analytics providers, all of which connect to the Bronto Marketing Platform and extend its value. The new resource center makes it easy for Bronto customers to find tools to optimize their digital marketing programs and drive more revenue.
The Summit also offered an intensive training opportunity for those wishing to expand their knowledge of the Bronto Marketing Platform. Many clients took advantage and became Bronto Certified Specialists.
It was also an ideal forum to celebrate success. The Summit closed on a high note by unveiling the winners of the first-ever Commerce Marketing Awards http://brontosummit.com/cma. The awards honored companies for best-practice commerce marketing initiatives in categories such as Best Abandoned Cart Campaign, Best Integration Success and Most Successful Revenue-Generating Campaign.
Reflecting Bronto’s commitment to the community, attendees contributed to the Commerce Cares for Kids program by packing more than 1,000 bags of food for area schoolchildren. These Weekend Power Packs meet the needs of children at risk of hunger over the weekend.
As in past years, the fun and learning spread to Twitter via the #BSum hashtag. A sampling of tweets reflect the positive feedback shared by many attendees:
@WhatsGregDoing: Live email critique coming up shortly. You can use your whole seat, but you'll only need the edge. #BSum
@joesparacio: @Bronto rocks because it's Monday afternoon, and I'm still thinking about all the stuff I learned at #BSum last week.
Nathan Maxwell @socialshark: @Bronto, thank you. You continue to create an amazing atmosphere to learn, network & have fun. You ROCK!!! #BSum pic.twitter.com/hwFFPOgbfo
