Fiasco, a New Wine Recommendation App from Harvard Business School Students, Wants You to "Stop Guessing & Start Drinking"
Boston, MA (PRWEB) May 13, 2014 -- Fiasco is a new iPhone application that makes choosing the perfect wine fun and easy. This app is not only designed to make the wine purchasing decision less stressful for those consumers who may feel overwhelmed, but it also provides more experienced wine drinkers with recommendations for wines they might not have tried before.
Fiasco combines the user’s taste preferences with the occasion to recommend the perfect wine. The user answers a few simple questions when opening the app for the first time. This provides an initial taste profile to help ensure Fiasco recommends a wine the user will enjoy. When it is time to confront the daunting task of choosing a wine, the user opens the app and answers a few quirky questions based on the occasion as well as food pairing. Fiasco will combine these answers with the individual’s taste profile (which continues to evolve as the app is used more and more) to recommend the ideal wine. Included with the recommendation are a few fun facts and characteristics about the selection.
Fiasco was designed by a group of Harvard Business School students and is intended for all different levels of wine drinkers. The team CEO, Emily Brauer, grew up in Napa Valley and originally thought of the idea for Fiasco. “Growing up in the wine industry, I know a decent amount about wine, but I am always looking to try something new. Fiasco recommends wines for certain situations that may not have originally crossed my mind.” The team CFO, David Murav, comes from a different vantage point. “I have zero confidence when it comes to choosing the right wine. I typically purchase the second cheapest bottle from a wine list, whether or not it is right for the occasion. Fiasco allows me to make a better choice with confidence.”
Fiasco is available for download in the Apple iTunes Store by searching "Wine Fiasco" or through this link: https://appsto.re/us/88jUZ.i.
