Barbaricum’s Brandon Bloodworth Recognized for his Outstanding Leadership, Vision and Entrepreneurial Success by Ernst and Young

Ernst & Young has announced Barbaricum Co-Founder and Partner Brandon Bloodworth as a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ 2014 Award for Greater Washington. The awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Bloodworth was selected as a finalist by a panel of independent judges.

“I am honored to be recognized among the elite entrepreneurs in the Greater Washington area by Ernst and Young,” said Barbaricum Co-Founder and Partner Brandon Bloodworth.

Now in its 28th year, the program has expanded to recognize business leaders in more than 145 cities in more than 60 countries throughout the world. Award winners will be announced at a special gala event on Thursday, June 19 at the Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner.

Regional award winners are eligible for consideration for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year National program. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year National Overall Award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California, on November 15, 2014. The awards are the culminating event of the EY Strategic Growth Forum®, the nation’s most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.

About Brandon Bloodworth

Brandon Bloodworth serves on the Executive Leadership team at Barbaricum and oversees growth and development of the firm. He has been directly involved in the financial planning, performance management, business development, operations management, and overall business performance of Barbaricum since its inception and has helped guide the firm to recognition as the 7th fastest growing company in Washington, DC for 2013 (#322 nationally) by INC Magazine.

Bloodworth also leads Barbaricum’s Energy Practice and has over 15 years of professional experience supporting government and commercial clients in alternative energy, operational energy, energy efficiency, smart grids, strategy, and technology. Bloodworth received a B.S. in Engineering Management from The United States Military Academy and holds an M.B.A. in Finance from Johns Hopkins University. He also served in the U.S. Army as an Infantry Officer and was Airborne Ranger qualified. Bloodworth is a Certified Energy Manager and Project Management Professional and resides in Maryland with his wife and three daughters.
