Wichita (PRWEB) May 09, 2014 -- Protection 1, the largest full-service business and home security company in the U.S., today announced the participation of 47 Protection 1 employees in the annual clean-up of the Arkansas River in honor of Earth Day. Part of the company’s ‘1 For All’ initiative that encourages and supports local community outreach, this clean-up effort was particularly important to Protection 1 as one of its primary facilities has been located in the Wichita area for more than 25 years.
Protection 1 was recognized just last month at a leading industry conference with a SAMMY award for Best Community Outreach Program and is well known for the work it does in the communities it serves.

A group of 47 Protection 1 employees gathered Saturday morning to take action for Earth Day and help Wichita clean up the Arkansas River shores. Participants from Protection 1 included families and individuals that were long-time residents and those that were new to the community.
“We were able to bring our children to help with the effort and were so pleased to have the opportunity to demonstrate the importance of preserving the environment as well as keeping the community clean and beautiful,” said Elizabeth Nolan, Communications Manager at Protection 1. “We are proud to be part of a company that understands the importance of these things as well and supports its employees through opportunities to volunteer.”
The ‘1 For All’ initiative started in January 2013 and has enabled employees to volunteer with more than 50 organizations in communities around the country. With 3,000 employees in our more than 70 branch offices, ‘1 For All’ encourages and supports volunteer opportunities for employees to improve and support the community where they live.
